| July 3, 2006 - This photo is of Daniela on day 40 of her pregnancy. Her body shape is changing, getting deeper in the abdomen, though she's not much wider than usual. One thing I notice... she hasn't been on top of the wall recently! |

| July 4, 2006 - Poor Daniela, even her Daddy told her today that she's getting "a little wide in the beam." |

| July 11, 2006 - Daniela's last well-mommy-dog check up with her veterinarian. She has a clean bill of health... no infections, obstructions, concerns about whelping. Her due date is still set at July 20th, give or take. :-) |
| July 13, 2006 - My, is this girl getting grumpy! My condolences to the poor dog who tries to go into her chosen resting spot, or who tries to pick up her teddy dog. |
| July 7, 2006 - I stand corrected. Never mind that Daniela is 50 days pregnant with only 13 days to go before whelping, today she got on top of the 6' cinder block wall again. I was stunned. I asked her what she thought she was doing, but she just laughed and put her front feet down on my shoulders so I could lift her off. Crazy animal. I just LOVE her! |
| May 14, 2006 - I put Daniela on a plane from Arizona to Michigan. That was a little hard for me, though she didn't seem too concerned about it. |
| May 18, 2006 - Daniela apparently decided that Guiso was a good enough guy, and she accepted his confident and persistent overtures. I started counting the days until puppies would arrive. |
| May 16, 2006 - Daniela met Guiso The Handsome and thought he was pretty fun to race around with. Finally... someone who could keep up with her! And what a romantic location, a horse-sized enclosure lush with mature trees, green grass and flowering vines on the fences. Although Guiso was quite complimentary of Daniela's rough golden fur and her expressive eyes, she doesn't kiss on the first date and she told him to darn well keep his paws off of her. |
| July 16, 2006 - This is going way too quickly. Daniela's due date is mere DAYS away and I feel so unprepared. Daniela, on the other hand, seelms completely unconcerned that she's beginning to look like a very small, scrappy blimp. Yesterday her temperature was 100.3 and this morning it was 100.1. |
| July 19, 2006 - Tomorrow is due day and I think she might hit it right on the mark. Her temp. is 99.1 today, and she has become serious about life - not that you can tell from the photo below. |
